The TEAK Fellowship is a ten-year enrichment program that offers New York City students from under-resourced communities intensive after-school and summer academic classes, transformational cultural experiences, secondary school, and college guidance, a vibrant internship program, and robust support system. TEAK students earn admission/financial aid at our Nation’s most prestigious academic institutions and graduate from them determined to make an impact on communities in need of their contributions and leadership.  

 


 

TEAK is currently seeking a Director of Operations to work closely with TEAK’s program teams. This position is a unique opportunity for a collaborative Director to play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations across the organization and will report to the Senior Director of Finance and Operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

Program Management

  • Manage operations for TEAK’s program cycle by working collaboratively with program staff on enrollment, student reports, and annual paperwork. 
  • Oversee management of information systems for programs, including but not limited to Salesforce, Google, Zoom, and School Messenger.
  • Manage the maintenance of the program-wide calendar with deadlines and key benchmarks.
  • Serve as the academic program registrar to support program logistics to ensure maintenance of student information records for TEAK Fellows.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of program-related events.
  • Enhance TEAK’s utilization of systems and logistics.

 

Middle School Academy and Summer Institute

  • Provide administrative support to the Middle School Academy team and TEAK’s Summer Institute.
  • Manage student records for attendance, grades, student behavior, and discipline in Salesforce.
  • Oversee creation and management of relevant Google forms, sheets, and documents related to survey response collection, program logistics, and event/class scheduling.
  • Troubleshoot and engage on emerging challenges.

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Participate in or lead staff or student-related ad-hoc projects or committees.

 

Qualifications

  • Commitment to TEAK’s mission of educational access and success for underrepresented populations.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of operations experience in education, non-profit, or a related field with progressive responsibilities.
  • Self-starter, ability to prioritize and balance multiple time-sensitive projects, and high detail orientation.
  • Tech acumen with the ability to navigate new platforms and tools.
  • Experience with databases and a strong understanding of data management and reporting. 
  • Proactive team player with the ability to be flexible in a fast-moving environment
