APRIL 2021 NEWSFLASH
HIGH SCHOOL PLACEMENT LIST 2021
We are so tremendously proud of Class 22 Fellows for their hard work, perseverance and positive attitude throughout this placement season. Going through the high school placement process this fall looked much differently than what they and their families envisioned the process to be like when joining TEAK two years ago. Take a look at the list of where some of our fellows are headed next fall. We are still waiting on additional school notifications as the specialized and public school processes were significantly delayed.
THE RESULTS ARE ROLLING IN
Congratulations to the Class of 2021 on being accepted to the following schools. 100% of our Fellows received acceptance to highly competitive institutions, including 38% to the Ivy League.
Over the course of 3-weeks in January, TEAK partnered with the law firm of Patterson Belknap to provide 5 TEAK college students with an intensive internship program.
We sat down for a virtual chat with Lisa Scott, TEAK Alumna Class 9, to discuss independent schools, self-care, and TEAK.
COMEDY FOR A CAUSE
Dan Blednick, Director of College Guidance, and Dr. Oyé Carr, Senior Director of Middle School Academy, went on the Non-Prophets podcast to discuss TEAKs work in educational access. Dan and Oyé join the conversation 2 minutes and 20 seconds in.
A SUMMER OF LEARNING
Fellows participate in engaging, enriching activities throughout high school with an emphasis on the summer after 11th grade. View the list of Class 19’s upcoming Summer Enrichment Placements.
BECOME A TEAK INVESTOR
“I decided to become a TEAK Investor because I sincerely believe that I would not be where I am today without TEAK’s support throughout my academic and personal development. I also know that TEAK students are among those who are most affected by the pandemic, so this is the least I could do to help.” – Michelle Li, TEAK Alumna Class 12
