The Morgan McKinzie Endowment
The Morgan McKinzie Endowment was established in 2002 to honor the life and service of Morgan McKinzie (1970-1992). Morgan was an engaged citizen, an Air Force ROTC cadet, a volleyball player, and an exceptional student at Princeton University. He had a special affinity for serving his community and helping young people reach their greatest potential through education. In 1992, Morgan’s life was tragically cut short by a plane crash. Several years later, Morgan’s friends and family decided to establish an endowment to honor his commitment to serving others. Today, The Morgan McKinzie Endowment supports TEAK’s Morgan McKinzie Summer of Service and community service programs, through which High School Fellows engage in volunteerism in their home and school communities. These hands-on experiences allow TEAK students to learn the value of public service and give back to their communities, while carrying on Morgan’s legacy of leadership and commitment to the public interest.
